COMING SOON: HARK Valley Publishing's 'The Immaculate Jagoffs of Pittsburgh'
A wild comic novel set in the last week of 1972
HARK!
I hear...rumors blowing....
The first rumor you may have heard: Meta/Facebook is ending the Bulletin newsletters, like this one. Click here for a New York Times story Facebook Winds Down Its Newsletter Service.
And that rumor is....true. Nothing is happening immediately, and you will continue to receive free newsletters in your email like this one through the end of the year. After that, HARK Valley will be looking for a new home--stay tuned, please!
Rumor No. 2: HARK Valley is getting in the publishing business.
True again!
In the coming weeks, HARK Valley Publishing will launch The Immaculate Jagoffs of Pittsburgh, a wild, action-packed comic novel set in the last week of 1972.
The author: Tom Scanlon.
Yep, same guy behind this HARK Valley thing.
The novel is a very-Pittsburgh thing, written in an aggressive 'burgh vernacular (aka "Pittsburghese")--so if you know any Pittsburghers, or ex-pats, give them a heads up, please; you can stay tuned by following the Immaculate Jagoffs Facebook page.
And, as a HARK Valley subscriber, you'll get first-look excerpts of the novel.
Even before that, you'll get an early peek (with opportunity to provide feedback) on a Pittsburghese-English translation/glossary.
For those of you from Cleveland...sorry!
