According to IMDb: “As the highest-paid actress in the world in 2015 and 2016, and with her films grossing over $5.5 billion worldwide, Jennifer Lawrence is often cited as the most successful actress of her generation.”
Sure, it’s been a few years since she banked-out on the Hunger Games flicks, but J-Law cashed a $25 million check for Don’t Look Up in 2021, the latest in a string of big-budget, quality movies starring Lawrence. So what the flick is she doing in the total stinkpot No Hard Feelings?
It’s unlikely director Gene Stupnitsky — maybe just call him “Stupidnitwitsky” — blackmailed her with compromising photos, as J-Law lays down some public footage (almost said “pubic footage”) that is strictly untoppable.
Prepare yourself for three terrifying, horrific words:
Nude fight scene.
About 15 minutes into the movie, Lawrence walks buck-naked out of the ocean and throws down kicks and punches with three teens.
Picture Bo Derek from 1979’s 10 running in slow-motion across the beach — only to land a jump-kick to Dudley Moore’s throat. Actually, that would have been much better than this pile of Hollypoop.
Lawrence plays a slacker chick in a resort town who tries to seduce a nerdy teen, because … ah, who cares.
Even though I tapped out in less than a half hour, despite the movie’s title, I resent it.
Movies like this make you wonder: Maybe we should be striking Hollywood — not the writers.
